Mahmoud Najafi Arab, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (TCCIMA) has praised the government’s measures for the limitation in ordered pricing in the Seventh National Development Plan (2022-2026) only to goods that receive subsidized foreign currency.

Speaking at the latest meeting of the dialogue council of the government and the Tehran Province’s private sector which was held on Saturday, Najafi Arab said: “We thank the government and parliament for finally agreeing to remove this policy in the 7th plan after years of discussions about the consequences of mandated pricing.”

Of course, the parliament has made exceptions for this part of the plan, and goods subject to preferential foreign currency, and goods produced by the government and exclusive goods are exempted from the rule of prohibiting ordered pricing and will still be priced by the government, he added.
