In recent days, some individuals had stated that before the inauguration of the president, a session to review the resignation of Masoud Pezeshkian from the parliament should be held. Alireza Salimi, a member of the presiding board of the parliament, rejected that and explained the

The procedure regarding the election of the Leader and also Hashemi Rafsanjani as the president did not involve raising the issue of resignation in the parliament. Also, after the people’s vote and the inauguration ceremony, there is no longer need to raise the issue of symbolic resignation in the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
