Pezeshkian holds talks with Malaysia’s PM

Iranian President and Malaysian Prime Minister have expressed their disapproval of the United States and certain Western nations regarding their policies towards the people of Gaza

Iranian President and Malaysian Prime Minister have expressed their disapproval of the United States and certain Western nations regarding their policies towards the people of Gaza.
They argue that the media and military assistance provided by these countries to the Israeli regime contradicts their assertions of upholding human rights and advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza, thereby enabling the continued atrocities against the innocent and vulnerable population of Gaza.

According to the presidential office in a phone conversation on Monday, Masoud Pezeshkian, Iran’s president, and Anwar Ibrahim, Malaysia’s prime minister, reviewed the current status of their bilateral relations and discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza.
During this dialogue, Pezeshkian condemned the actions of the U.S. and certain Western countries concerning Gaza, claiming that their backing of the Israeli regime undermines their professed dedication to human rights and peace initiatives, thus prolonging the suffering of the Gazan people.

Both leaders emphasized the necessity of solidarity and coordinated efforts among Islamic nations to confront the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime and to put an end to the ongoing violence and genocide in Gaza, asserting that organizing a summit of the leaders of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation would be a crucial step forward.
