No safe haven for anti-Iran ‘terrorist’ media, intelligence chief says

Esmaeil Khatib, Iran’s Minister of Intelligence, has issued a warning to “terrorist” and hostile media outlets, including the so-called Iran International TV channel, reminding them that no place on earth would be immune from the Islamic Republic’s “offensive security” measures.
In a televised interview aired on Sunday night, Khatib said that a number of satellite channels, most notably the Iran International TV channel, have supported separatists, promoted terrorism, and supported actions that are regarded as terrorist acts under international law.
He said that whenever and whenever required, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry must take proper action against any terrorist activities endangering the Iranian people.
The minister emphasized that no terrorist groups or violent media outlets will be safe and that Iran will continue to pursue its objectives by implementing offensive security measures despite the assistance that foreign nations have given to hostile media.

In breach of UK media laws, the television network has been openly supporting monarchists, the notorious Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO), and most crucially, separatist terrorists.
Due to its part in stoking the fires of violence during riots in Iran in September 2022, the Islamic Republic labeled the channel as a terror group in November 2022.
Back in August, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi found fault with the United States and a few European nations for organizing the riots that erupted throughout the country last year.
“The United States and some European countries, along with Iran’s adversaries, wronged the Iranian nation and targeted security, calm, businesses and minds of our dear people by orchestrating the riots. However, our people foiled their plot through steadfastness,” the president remarked.
Raisi emphasized that during the course of the probe, not a single individual should suffer any injustice.
One of the committee’s most crucial responsibilities, he continued, is to give a “correct and fair narrative” of those episodes, one that is based on facts, records, and eyewitness testimonies and free from any prejudice.
The president continued by saying that compensation must be given to everyone whose rights were infringed during the riots or who suffered injury of any kind.
In an interview with Tasnim in February 2023, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani called the decision by Iran International to move its headquarters from London to Washington, D.C., a “puppetry and new theatrical measure” that reveals the spy services of certain countries are complicit in anti-Iran moves.
