Iran’s President: US More Isolated Than Ever

The US government’s plots against Iran have always ended in failure, Rouhani said in an address to a Tuesday session of the Parliament as he submitted the next Iranian year’s budget plan to the legislature.

He said the main purpose of the US pressures that are directed at the people of Iran is to bring the Islamic Republic’s powerful Establishment to its knees.

Americans regard Iran as the main impediment to their objectives in the delicate Middle East region, the president said.

Rouhani further said that the US tried to create chaos in Iran’s market in order to disappoint people’s hopes for future and to fabricate a notion that Iran’s Establishment is ineffective.Unlike the past when the US could win support from many countries in the UN Security Council, today, the US has become isolated and is left alone in its plots against Iran, the president added.The US which always sought to isolate Iran has now become the most isolated country itself, he stated, saying that Washington was ignored by international organizations, major world countries, the UN Security Council, International Atomic Energy Agency and Asia, Russia and China when it decided to pull out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

“Only the US itself and two or three of its proxies are following this path (against Iran),” Rouhani stressed.

He went on to stress the need for close interaction with all world countries, except a few states feuding with Iran, noting that stronger foreign relations and more allies will help the Islamic Republic.

In comments on December 12, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei highlighting the Iranian nation’s resolve in standing against the US plots over the past decades, saying the US objective was to create bipolarity and division in Iran through sanctions and anti-security measures.The Leader also cautioned Iranian officials against the unending US plots, saying the Zionists and the regional reactionaries aid and abet the US hostile ploys against the Iranian nation.
