The deputy head of Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (ITMCO) has said the company is exporting its products to 24 countries on different continents.
During a visit by the Union of Turkish Rights members to the Iran Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group on Sunday, Karim Aghelvand said that products of this industrial group are being exported to European countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Turkey, the Republic of Azerbaijan and various African countries, as well as Pakistan, Afghanistan and several countries of the world.
He added that Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company is “the jewel of Iran’s industry”, whose effects and advantages are visible in different economic aspects of the country. Announcing that now 95 percent of the production of tractors in Iran has been domesticated, Aghelvand said that five percent of the factory’s needs are not due to the lack of domestic facilities, but mostly due to the cost-effectiveness of imports from foreign countries.
He further said that the current number of exported products of the company to different countries is 4,500 units, adding that the price and quality of tractors produced in Iran can compete with global products. Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company also known as ITMCO, manufactures tractors, trucks, auto parts, and diesel engines with a main site and headquarters in Tabriz, Iran. The Iranian Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group is the largest producer of agricultural equipment in West Asia and has tractor assembly plants in several other countries.
