Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s vice president for science and technology, Sorena Sattari announced the export of domestically produced coronavirus serology-based diagnostic kits for the first time.

“Based on an agreement with Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the license for export of the first coronavirus serology-based diagnostic kits will be issued,” he said.

He made the remarks during President Hassan Rouhani’s meeting with the directors of Iranian science and technology parks and knowledge-based companies, held via video conference.

Sattari said, “In the field of fighting coronavirus, we have reached a stage that we can export related products. Some of these products, such as thermometer device and ICU equipment have not been produced domestically before the coronavirus outbreak, but we are now self-sufficient in producing them”.
