Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds is hosting the 20th edition of Iran’s international exhibition of metallurgy, dubbed IRAN METAFO, during November 24-27, IRIB reported. As reported, over 570 domestic companies along with 230 foreign exhibitors active in the fields of metallurgy, steel, mining industries, non-ferrous metals, casting, industrial furnaces, heat treatment, and related industries, are presenting their latest products and achievements in this exhibition. Major companies from 21 countries including Turkey, Germany, Italy, Spain, Britain, France, South Korea, Czech Republic, Taiwan, UAE, Slovenia, South Africa, Malaysia, Austria, Japan, Sweden, Hong Kong, Switzerland, China, India and Russia are participating in this exhibition, which is considered the largest exhibition of its kind in West Asia. According to Abdolkarim Jalali, the exhibition’s executive organizer, this exhibition covers various areas including steel, mineral industries, non-ferrous metals, copper, aluminum, zinc, casting, molding, machining, forging, refractories, industrial groups, and heat treatment. Jalali said the number of exhibitors in the current year’s exhibition has increased by 30 percent compared to the previous year. On the sidelines of the exhibition, many specialized conferences, meetings, and educational workshops will be held, the official said. “Fortunately, the metallurgy industry is one of those industries in which the presence of knowledge-based companies is widespread, and in this year’s METAFO we have dedicated a hall to knowledge-based companies,” he added.
